Around the world, students are mastering complex concepts in math and science before they reach middle school, while the potential of students in the U.S. is being left untapped.
Without early access to high-quality STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) education for all, our youth risk being unprepared for the workforce, where technical skills are becoming increasingly important.
This growing skills gap limits individual opportunity while weakening our nation’s ability to compete in the industries shaping the future.
To help close this gap, the Swaliga Foundation is launching a Free #STEAM Fund, where 100% of each dollar donated will go towards Free #STEAM education for under resourced K-12 youth in D.C. and beyond.
The Free #STEAM Fund will support students through Swaliga’s signature afterschool #STEAMtheBlock clubs, community events like the annual #STEAMtheBlockParty, and life-changing global travel with our Cultural Exchange Program.
Swaliga is launching this fund because we believe that Free #STEAM education is the best way to set our youth up for success.
By removing the financial and systemic barriers keeping under resourced students out of the innovation economy, we can help our youth develop the creative and technical skills they need for lifelong professional success.
When students learn STEAM through creativity and culture, they see themselves as innovators.
When communities have access to free technical education, they thrive. And when our country invests in homegrown talent, we all win-economically, socially, and globally.
