“Donate your time. Research shows 1 hour per week can change a students life.”
Welcome, let's get to know each other. Swaliga (Swah-lee-guh) is a tribal word that has a similar meaning to the word "passion". Founded in 2012 in Washington, DC, USA, Swaliga empowers youth all around the world through STEAM education and entertainment.

In 2018, Swaliga Cultural Exchange program led a group of 75 students and educators from across the United States to assemble 100 solar lamps with students from Eldorado Park in South Africa. The students learned about solar energy, and the lamps were promptly hand delivered to families living without proper electricity in Kliptown, South Africa.

The Swaliga Foundation is pioneering systemic change through STEAM education.
With a focus on bringing trauma-informed educational resources to the most underserved and underrepresented communities, we’re changing the trajectory of STEAM access for black and brown young people around the world.
